I have a little used geology degree and clean holiday houses for much of my income.  I live in a beautiful but remote part of the Isle of Skye with my 3 children, husband, cat and single chicken.  I want to earn a living without travelling too far as I hate driving and hate the state my car gets in when I spend too much time in it.  In the past I've scratched a living making pottery, working in a post office, stacking shelves, mixing cement, selling fair trade jewellery and doing my husband's books.  There wasn't anything really wrong with any of these methods of making a crust but I get bored easily and need to ring the changes to keep myself interested.  I've done lots of things that made absoluterly no money whatsoever too, like running, baking, selling fairtrade jewellery, gardening, making pottery and looking after my husband's cows. 

My perfect day starts with tea in bed and ends watching the sunset with my husband.  The middle bit just has to have as little time out in it as possible to keep me happy!
